For those of you who jar your tobacco, or smoke it out the tin until empty, do you save the empty tins, or dispose of them?

Local recycling center accepts mine.

I save and display some of the classic ones, others I use for small objects. A Special Latakia Flake tin holds my Komboli.

Good question. I haven't got one yet, but I like the thought of keeping them... But I've nothing to put in them so I'll probably bin them.
If anything, I use them to store screws and nails etc.

I've been saving them, but find that they're taking up too much space. I figure that I'll be dead and buried a long time before they're going to be worth anything!

Toss 'em in the recycle box. I don't have enough to take them to recycle, and I don't even know if they would be accepted.
I like smoking from the tin, and I usually don't jar. I was thinking that when certain brands become scarce in this country and the only tins I can get are the garish "yer gonna die or grow a third eye" tins I might transfer contents to my more pleasing tins.

Toss 'em in the recycle box. I don't even know if they would be accepted. Same as an empty tin can of tomatoes used for chili - Recycle.

AS needed I save some to use for keeping small stuff like screws and nuts / bolts and give the rest to my sister who runs a re-sale shop wher the money from all sales goes to a local charity. I think they get $1.00 each for them and I give here 10 to 12 a year.

Dump them in the recycling bin for metal products, placed in the garbage room, here where we live.

I would send mine over to you, but that might cost more than the tobacco inside.

I use them for gift cases. The beer tabs.. uh.. I mean rings I give my wife each anniversary look more expensive in them. "Oh, honey. I bought you the most exclusive Bysantium ring by Cornell and Diehl Jewelers!"

Save the first of each type and throw away the rest. I might just start keeping the top halves but I do smoke out of the tin. The Mclellend and C&D types of fragile cylindrical tins I toss just because I don't like how they look.

I keep a few for ash trays that can be re-sealed with the lid, the rest go in the recycle bin.

If your smoking station is a shack or garage, you can screw or glue them to a wall for your own tobacco billboard.

You can also mount them on wallboard, cork, etc. and frame them. Advantage being the portability.

I save mine. Right now they're in a box of other useless crap I'll probably never use. They're too convenient to just throw away though. My 8 year old asked me to save him some as well.
Also, I only have about 15 empty ones. Most of my tobacco has been bulk purchases and put in jars. There are quite a few unopened ones in the cellar.

Make ashtrays out of them and wrap up as holiday gifts....especially if your invited to a place where you’d rather never be asked again...lol.
I know someone that uses them as a coaster for his cold beer bottle👍👍

another old-timer (older even than me)! always only smoked OTC stuff, but his wifie enjoys 'em for wall art. Always insisted I just give 'em away, but he insists in re-imburse the ship + some extra.

I throw them in a big box. Good ones get used for miscellaneous storage. Some go into recycling.
