Got my first few primings of YTB tobacco hanging up. The plants are growing in a dwarfed fashion due to the excessive heat so it will be interesting to see what happens this Fall.  |

Thought it was a new name of some Calif/Colorado "other" weed.

Thought it was a new name of some Calif/Colorado "other" weed. Walt, I’m from the Hippy generation, I never smoked marijuana in my life...odd I know. Two of my doctors recommend I give it a try, I’ll pass for now! |

For how long do you hang them? Once they've wilted and started yellowing on the plant, I pull them and they finish yellowing in about 2 days. Then, they will need to completely dried including the stem. After that, the leaves are re-hydrated to a low case and either bagged for aging or placed in a kiln for 4-6 weeks. For Burley varieties, a minimum of a year's aging is required to become smooth. Ted ... do yourself a favor and really look in to this. Every animal on the planet, except insects, has an Endocannabinoid System ... there's a reason.  |

There is an oil my doctor told me about, a drop or two under the tongue does the trick without that “ buzzed “ effect. That’s something I’ll be looking into. Another reason I won’t try marijuana is I’m like Bill Clinton....I never inhaled.....but that’s the truth.

I think it's called hemp oil There is hemp oil and some other newer oil the doctor told me about. You don’t Vap it, one or two drops under the tongue. |

CBG oil can alleviate the pain and anxiety with out getting you high. Ted, you might wanna do some research and I know it would help with the sleeping issues. |

How many YTB did you grow? I just hung up a dozen of them in my barn. Hi Randy ... good to see you around!  This year was brutal with the heat / wind and I lost my entire original crop of 16 plants. Then, Larry (B.B.) sent me some transplants of YTB and Prilep to get me going again. Of the original 12 plants, I have 2 Prilep and 5 YTB. Next year will be very different ... third time is a charm! LOL Are you also growing more Samsun-Maden this season? That was some tasty stuff you sent a couple years back! |

No Samsun-Maden this year. But I did grow some Prilep, Duzce and Japan-8. I'll send you some after it is cured/kilned. I also grew some more Semois as well as a Maryland variety called Welk's Pride.

Thanks ... that would be great! I've heard good things about Duzce and would love to try some. I completely forgot about my Semois seeds ... still have 1000's of them from last year's grow. Yours was SO much better than mine that I ended up tossing it and calling it a learning experience.  Welk's Pride is another unfamiliar name ... using it for RYO? |

Catch you all on the other side. Thanks, Ted. Hammond Egger, I was always an odd duck...especially during the Hippy generation (hippie generation spelling later) at Woodstock!! I never did drugs....played the drums with many well known bands that actually made it!! My parents had me lined up for college and Woodstock August 15th 1969 was my goodbye/last hurrah to freedom as I knew it. Had a blast all the way to the 18th, this farm was a disaster at the end. Took 3 Country Sheriff’s Departments to finally remove the last of the crowd 4 days past the deadline. I stayed awake for 70 hours, out of 72 hours being on site. Did my share of drinking but knew enough when to stop. Some crazy....WILD TIMES👍👍👍. Oh, on the VW buses that were painted with “ flower power “ were known as Hippy mobiles....only a few years after Woodstock I noticed what was called “ the proper “ spelling was Hippie. I’m in the picture and near my VW Bug and blue tent rig. Much more then that I can not put into writing..lol.  |

Thanks John, my last visit to my Neurologist also suggested trying CBD oil. Yup, It’s legal but very expensive!! I’ve been looking into it. All it takes a one drop under the tongue, so I was told by my Dr. |

It's been a month since the first post ... need to take an updated pic and post it.
The plants are still MUCH smaller than they should be but doing better after some (slightly) cooler weather and rain.
