Here in the States we refer to it as a “ ear worm “, when a song keeps playing in your head...that’s normal. However, if you hear voices talking to you, it’s time to see a Psychiatrist 😜😜😜😜😂 If someone has been a jerk to you and you want to exact sweet evil revenge Look at them and just sing S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT! S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT! Gonna keep on dancin' to the Rock and roll On Saturday night, Saturday night Dancin' to the rhythm in our Heart and soul On Saturday night, Saturday night I-I-I just can't wait I-I-I got a date. If that don't ruin the rest of their day well, then they just have no soul! See it worked, you're gonna sing this the rest of the day! Diabolical I tell ya. Jack, thanks for posting....after reading a few times I was actually able to void better👍👍👍

@truculentfrogs. I frequently use Melatonin... it does help, and promotes deeper longer sleep and interesting more vivid dreaming.

Those Nature sound compilations are also a good sleep aide. My favorites are Ocean Waves and ironically very effective is a Train traveling in a Thunderstorm.

I listen to Tropical Rain Forest every night, helps me relax and great for relieving stress

@truculentfrogs . I frequently use Melatonin... it does help, and promotes deeper longer sleep and interesting more vivid dreaming. ...if you look into the chemical make-up of Melatonin, it turns out that it just "sets the stage" for sleep. It doesn't work like sleeping pills...

I used to be a very angry person. The voices tell me I'm all better now. ...the voices are correct. Thats what they keep telling me. I'm really hoping I don't have to square off against her brothers in California, you know the "big brother lil sis thing" I may not be able to take all 3 at one time but they will know my name the next morning. I doubt I have anything to worry about.

I should have slept 6 to 7 hours!! Lunesta and Ambien make me loony, gives me a horrible metallic taste in mouth, bad dreams, and I become more weird during the day than I am normally. Also, although I know that I have risen several times during the night to urinate and check on the cats, I have complete amnesia of all such events (you may ask how I know that despite amnesia... it's a secret). I don't like it.

Sherlock Holmes movies (Basil Rathbone), Charlie Chan movies (Warner Oland) or old Crime Drama movies from the 40's and 50's.

It doesn't work like sleeping pills... I have described how Melatonin affects me without fail. With age our natural production of Melatonin decreases. At 62 mine ebbs low, so I supplement and it helps... though I am still a poor fitful sleeper, but with 3mg. somewhat better.

Sorry to hear about your submission. I've no idea what they're looking for or what the issue was (not do I want to know), but judging by the way you write here, they're a fool for not taking your work.

My youngest gets melatonin every night before bed. She has done for years. Tiredness can trigger a paralysis so she needs to sleep. Seems to work well for her. I've tried it too, but I'm not convinced it works on me. I always fall asleep before I can find out.

I'm thinking there are other ways to ingest without the high and with all the genetics they have a weed for everyones needs. Not sayin just sayin

I usually only get 3-4 hours of sleep per night. When everything works out sometimes I can get 6 hours. I can manage very well with the 6 hours. However, getting to sleep is a major issue. My mind won’t shut down or there is too much pain. A lot of times if I pick up a book and begin reading I find that usually within an hour I get sleepy enough to drift off if the pain has subsided. Trust me, this doesn’t always work out as sometimes I go 3-4 days without sleep even with lots of medication. Not enjoyable! 😖 I haven’t conducted any research about this but it seems that as we get older sleep becomes more difficult. Companies worldwide are making millions of dollars selling sleep aides to those of us who suffer from getting too little sleep. Old men suffering because they cannot get a good night’s sleep has been a plague upon us old geezers for thousands of years. Even King Solomon complained about it as he grew older. I doubt seriously that a solution for this problem will be discovered in my lifetime. Just have to live with. AJ

It doesn't work like sleeping pills... That's true, Drama. Combine it with one of those PM/Acetaminophen pills and it will approximate a sleeping pill, minus the druggy effect.

I took melatonin once to aid me as a day sleeper... took it and went to sleep. It kicked in after I woke up, and looking back, I should have taken a sick day than drive all night. Never again for me.

Been up since 4:15AM today and there's no singing me to sleep. Sadly the only thing that would get me back to the sack is a pain killer. You all are very lucky to just have insomnia.

Ron, I totally sympathize with you and understand how pain can keep you from sleeping......no matter what sleeping prescription pill your taking! So, one can suffer from severe insomnia and pain at the same time....that’s definitely not a joy to deal with on a daily basis!
