Drama? ain't weed legal out there? I'm sure that helps with sleep. ...ironically, I used smoke a lot of pot (many moons ago.) Yes, it's legal now, but it has no attraction for me anymore... I used to partake quite a lot as well, and as a confirmed insomniac since the age of 15, I can honestly say when it gets really bad, a small hit of the wacky baccy puts me down. I reserve it only for when it's been really bad and I can't take it any more as I do not wish to fall down that rabbit hole like I used to. Plus, the wife wouldn't appreciate me being perma-loopy. That being said, I usually browse forums, get into random arguments on the internet, and paint miniatures for a table top game I have been playing since the 90's....the downside here is that I can get lost in it all and look up and it's 4 AM ;-) C'est la vie...

Last night it took a while to get over. Slept great when I was asleep, but my youngest woke me at 6:30. Now I'm sure awake. Gonna be a yawning day today.

VERY much appreciate the thoughts, kind words and helpful suggestions. I've tried nearly everything (meditation, Melatonin, prescription sleeping pills) and I've found the best way to deal with it is to just stay awake. I'm guessing the issue last night was The New Yorker Magazine turning down my last submission. I think you hit the nail on the orverbial head, rejection turn things around in your head and the body can react in many ways. Some folks can't eat some can't sleep etc. Give it time.JHMO

Their content is has been crap ever since the election. They went crazy just like the rest of the media. You know that your stuff is good.

Couldn't get to sleep last night even though I was exhausted. Moving and assembling fur all day. I did take a Percocet because I was hurting so bad that I could barely move. I find that they keep me awake but at least I wasn't hurting. Took 6mg melatonin. Lay down at 10:30 and didn't get to sleep until after 3:45. I listen to audio books and we put on either a 1 hour thunderstorm or Enya every night.

Since first becoming ill in November of 2011 my sleeping habits did a total 360! Years ago I had no issues falling or staying asleep. It’s gett worse!
