David ^^^^^^^^^ have you ever preformed as a stand up comic? If not you should👌👍👍 It's really hard for me to speak to crowds, well, sober at least. When I was a kid I didn't relate well. At some point I quit caring about relating and all of the sudden became funny. That's answer #1 #2, Legend Lover hit on in a message. My humor, if you can call it that, takes my mind off of constant pain. I'll leave you to judge. I can say no more Pain you say, then I should be one of the top 10 comedians in the World👍 WISHING ALL THE BEST DAVID

orley your retort has me so stressed I feel as though I have been left up the proverbial estuary without any conventional means of locomotion... and I still don't have anything stupid to add. However, I am on my second bowl in the Carey pipe, which I note is more of a bent billiard. I lost my glasses today and didn't look it over that well. I am smoking Sutliff State Fair from SP. P&C has the exact blend but under another name. The only thing I did was wipe out the bowl. I am getting wall to wall mild apple in this blend. It is staying with me through the bowl. I am absolutely amazed. I think I am done here. I want to finish this bowl while listening to the Archies' Sugar Sugar backwards, over and over. David, you have a way with words, and that's what makes your comments so enjoyable to read. Sorry to leave up Schitts Creek without a paddle, but you'll be ok as long as you have your pipe.

Did I type that post you responded to? Last I recall was waking up at three AM with a slice of Oreo Pizza stuck to my lips. EA Carey just got in some really nice looking pipes. A couple Freehands in the 60-80 range. As soon as my court docs come in with my name changed to Shittz Kabibble I'll find some idiot credit card company to enhance my cellar and pipe collection all that much more.

Heads up, zambini ! I bought a used Carey Bent Apple that came really clean. I had some filters here already. I took some C&D Nutty Irishman and packed it. It was moist and should have had some dry time. I have no time for such trivialities. It did take a few relights right off the bat, but smoked all the way down after that. What I was looking for was to see if this was like sucking a straw or a joint with air coming in on the side. This was not the case. It did draw differently, but pleasantly. The smoke remained cool. More importantly, the flavor, which usually goes to hell on a moist aro, stayed from start to finish. I seldom get that on an aro that I DID give time to dry. The filter didn't change color on the outside, so I am going to see how many smokes I can get out of it. The stem was in between cheap and expensive. It will not wear out like an MM. It comes on and off so easily that I wondered if it would come loose. It did not. It's just the way it's made and it beats the snot out of those that swell up so badly you can't remove them. Bottom Line: This is going to be my ARO Pipe when I want to get full flavor. I will buy more for the same purpose. My apologies for not saying anything stupid in this post. It's early here. I tried David, You always make me laugh

I thought I would deeper into the very bowels of EA Carey and purchase a bunch of sampler cups for 2$ each. Description says you get up to an ounce. Anything over half an ounce is a worthy purchase.
I would have bought more of the blends I was itching to try the most, but it looks like "much" of "their" blends are Peter Stokkebye.
If there are some differences I will add some posts here. They have a champagne blend as does PS, but they sound a tad different.
We know many stores use stock blends from one big firm or another. I just hope that Iwan Reis isn't the only one to have Tobacconist Unique Blends

I've gotten three of these pipes, all estates at a total cost of 50$. They all smoke wonderfully and are perfect for aros. The only difference, if you were to light one blindfolded, lighting it needs you to take a longer, deeper, but softer draw. Then you'll get your flavor all bowl.

Glad I found this thread. I have 5 Carey's and ordered some filters for them along with a new pipe to compare smokability between them. If I had known they were 45 mins. away from me I would have visited their store and will in the future.

That's the one I ordered. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

After fixing that busted up Magic Inch pipe and enjoying smoking it, I decided I'd like a nicer example. So I found this one, kind of Danish looking but there's no country stamp on the briar anywhere. The bottom of the stem is stamped Great Britain. So who knows what's going on. What I do know is that it is a very nice smoking pipe, quite light weight too. I feel that my biggest problem is that because they're rather inexpensive I'm going to have to resist buying many more!

I have one stamped “Made in England” with a patent number. I removed the filter tube and put a wrap of electrical tape over the slots. Haven’t smoked it in years, but there’s not a damn thing wrong with it.
