The only two rational theories of time travel involve: 1- traveling faster than light speed. Problem is as one approaches light speed, infinite mass is approached making surpassing light speed nearly inconceivable. 2- folding spacetime. This may be plausible, but nothing so far has suggested this is even mathematically possible. Wormholes may be a solution, but still a theory with no supporting evidence. I think 2 May eventually be an more interesting solution, but we are nowhere near understanding the physics of this. I think you're right. I wonder how long it will take to understand that.

Probably never at the current state of particle physics. My analogy is that most of today's physicists ars the new Jesuits, debating about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, with about as much chance of a definitive answer. Now, that was not a religious or political statement, merely an analogy.

Cannot we "prove" that time travel is impossible, or at least will not be invented, in that nobody has ever come from the future back here to now or any time in the past, to visit us. If its going to be invented in the future, by any means or technology now known or even as yet unknown, wouldn't we know by now?

I must have already done some time traveling.....back in ‘77 had business in Costa Rica. For some odd reason I instantly knew my way around the Country, plus I vaguely remember standing outside this old building that had sculptured Art work done over 400 years ago....it was quite spooky to say the least.

I have a TARDIS you could borrow. Problem is I am not sure where I parked it.

Quoting the article: Specifically, a new study reveals the network of brain cells that encode the subjective experience of time, and these neurons are located in a brain area adjacent to the one in which other neurons encode space.
This not a total surprise given Einstein.
