What A day..I get my health insurance through the company I'm retired from. It's much cheaper than anyone else I could get it from. One stipulation is that any long term medication I must get through a mail order company.Today that company sent me an email saying they had faxed the doctors office about a prescription renewal and hadn't heard back from them.I called the doctors office. They said they didn't get a fax.So I'm back on the phone telling them to send another fax. They said they did.Called the doctors office again. They said they.still didn't get it.Call them back and make sure they have the right fax number.(Same one they've used for 4 years.)So I called them again Guess what they told me..We can't refill that prescription. There's been a recall on it.
Part 2..When I got off the phone and computer with those folks my wife told me that our car insurance bill wasn't right. We went to the agents office and asked him to explain why our bill was so much less than it should be.He called the main office in another state and asked what was going on.It turns out that because of some wrong codes that some geek put into a computer I've been driving around for 2 weeks with no collision insurance.
Now that my car insurance has been restored I have to drive to the doctor's office and get them to fax these mail order folks a prescription for some pills to keep my blood pressure down after these low tech folks with their tech gadgets have done all they can to run it as high as they can.

Sorry for your issues, computers are only as smart as the human that’s programming it. Today everything is done in a rush. Better days are ahead👍

When something happens to the high tech equipment the generation after me, and most of mine, are going to be completely lost.
Let someone's phone die, it's like the apocalypse is happening. It's a very sad world.

There are low skilled drivers, with high performance cars too.
Yesterday a kid in a Shelby Cobra Mustang decided to light up the tires and blow through a light... T-boned another guy and slammed into one of our Mack Tractors that was stopped at a left turn... took out everything below the drivers door on the cab, and ripped the tank open....a couple hundred gallons of diesel went down the storm drain... miraculously, no one was hurt, but some people needed a fresh change of underwear.

Both of us would have been phenomenally better off.

Fortunate that fer sure low-tech Ed can do what he/we do with low tech equipment: WIN7, browser IE, packaged land line #1 phone, basic TracFone just in case of a power failure. Low tech Ed refuses to have a $1200 machine that changes gears in his truck when it feels like it. Around town, a clutch pedal allows me to that when I decide to. Bit of added exercise, relieves boredom, keeps me more alert + whot's the % of young folks who could or would want to steal it. Tech, to us, fine to a certain point. Fergit transferring pics from one place to another. A few have asked what I look like. OK, here 'tis, from 2001 www.facebook.com/ed.duncan.52(we have to have FB so can see pics of our combined grands & 2 great-grands. The parents don't wanna take the time to send same to us via e-mail) Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY 77 + a number of months & still upright!

That was an unfortunate series of events. I hate it when technology overrides common sense and logic.
Anyway - at least you made it past Thursday!
