From Marty Pulver at Prior Briars Terrific straight grain, even for a Grenci, and also small, for a Grenci, being Grp. 4 size. BTW, the stem isn't black, but rather a dark, marbled gray. It does have an open draw, but it does not stand up on that flat, extended shank end. There is some carbon residue on the plateau rim, but the overall cond. is exc. 5.7" long, bowl 1.9" tall. Weight: 1 5/8 oz., 47 grams.

Yo herb - another beauty. Greg Pease is a great fan of Grencis, maybe from his Drucquer days. Most of the ones I've seen are too huge for me.

Dave., here is mine, big sucker, friend of mine inherited it from his Uncle who was in the CIA, went crazy chopped up his wife and bagged her in the dempsy dumpster, traded him a Stanwell horn for it. Told wife story, I said watch out if I start smoking it a lot.!

Really cool pipe, Dave. It almost has a cavalier kind of vibe to it.
Have you tried standing it up with the bowl loaded with some nice, dense tabac? Not that it matters. I have one 'sitter' and it never 'sits' once packed because I'm a clencher. haha
