Let's have it. What are some of the strongest blends, that are fully enjoyable, in terms of nicotine content?
Challenge: must not taste like burning or freshly paved road.

Brown or Black Irish twist... That Black Irish X Twist is rough (paved roadish). Is the brown twist less road-tarrish?

I'll name a few, which are: H&H Freight Train GLP Key Largo Dunhill Royal Yacht Now keep in mind, I do love all three, but have made the mistake early on in my pipe smoking career to have first tried these after a lite breakfast, with coffee, on a warm covered patio when I used to live in the SoCal area. There was definitely a decent Vit N kick from these (especially the Freight Train), but have now learned to enjoy these blends better during a cooler day/night, and after a hearty meal. Again, that's just me, and others may have a totally different bout with the 3 blends mentioned above. Great blends and still smoke all three...

Nice to meet a refugee from Pall Mall land. I smoked 3-4 packs a day in my twenties. Finally switched to Marlboro Lights, but tore the filters off. In my thirties I lost a bunch of weight and was seeing if I could fit in some of my old suits. Found copious amounts of torn filters in them. May the Smoke be with you. I can say no more

I'm not sure these are blends, but:
GH Brown Irish X GH Happy Brown Bogie GH Rum Twist GH Sweep Maple Twist
All of those will knock you dead and taste great.

Brown or Black Irish twist... That Black Irish X Twist is rough (paved roadish). Is the brown twist less road-tarrish? Brown is a bit easier on your palate.......some info from TR. If I didn’t have so many issues going on right now I’d send you a sample. It gets rave reviews as well on Smokingpipes and you can order just an ounce in bulk. Most much prefer the Brown, as I do by far👍👍 Made with the same ingredients as the Black Irish X; Brown Irish X (same as twist) comes straight off the spinning machine without any additional processing. The absence of the pressure and heating process means this tobacco retains all of it's strength. JimInks review: QUOTE...... “ It’s a bit spicy, very woodsy, floral and smoky, grassy, very earthy with some cigar notes, naturally sweet with a mild nuttiness in spots, and a touch of creaminess, though you may also encounter some harshness here and there after the half way point if you puff fast. Won't bite. The Virginia is more prominent than the dark fired Kentucky and burley, but it will certainly tell you it is there. The Lakeland essence is present in a minor amount, but I wonder if it was added or did it gather the scent by sitting around in the factory? No matter how you decide to cut or rub it out once cut, it burns at a near moderate rate if you give it a slight dry time. Has a consistent taste from start to finish. Needs a few relights, and leaves some moisture in the bowl, but no dottle. Has a pleasant, lingering after taste. Only recommended for experienced smokers who just had a full meal, not just for the strength of the flavors, but also for the strong nic-hit “.

Also agree with unknownpipesmoker:
ANY OF THESE.......You should try an ounce of Rum or Sweet Maple FIRST
GH Brown Irish X GH Happy Brown Bogie GH Rum Twist GH Sweep Maple Twist
I smoke often Old Joe Krantz...many pipe smokers get a heavy Nic hit from this blend....however I don’t inhale at all so for me it’s just above a medium Nic hit....EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE 👍👍
Also another favorite of mine...C&D Bayou Night...I’ve recommended this blend to many pipe smokers, ALL have cellared a few pounds....it’s that good

I can't answer this because I've not idea what the nic-hit feels like.
However, seeing Royal Yacht on the list, I now know to be extra aware of something 'different' when I smoke it. Maybe after my first bowl of it I might know what I'm looking for when it comes to nicotine.

HH's 'Bold Kentucky'. A veritable nicotine knee in the tobacco pouch.

1792 (a favorite of mine) and, strangely enough, C&D Briar Fox.

My step Dad use to smoke those, he use to pronounce it Pell Mell for some reason. Dry nasty things, taste like a pack of Lucky Strikes that had sat on the dashboard for a week. I was a Camel man myself, non-filter of course too.

The strongest I've tried so far is Bayou Night. The first bowl or 2 gave me niccups and had me queasy. It was one of the first 10 tobaccos I tried and I loved the taste of it. It has a common place in my rotation now with more than a pound sitting in jars waiting for me.

Would you happen to know where some of that old treasure might be buried? Always looking to dig some up!

Let's not forget Gawith Hoggarth Dark Bird's Eye. Somebody else already mentioned GH Kendal Kentucky, but it's worth repeating.

I think this GH Dark Plug is giving my ancestors the niccups. Yup, me too. To me one of the strongest nic-hit tobaccos you can smoke...once you finish "chopping" off a hunk. It is pretty dense.

Samuel Gawith Brown No.4
A tasty no-nonsense full strength tobacco. Since you're looking for strong blends, I think JimInks last sentence in his review says it all.
"Unless you're from the planet Krypton, you'd better eat a full meal first."
