In this a.m. mail I received notice that I am no longer required to a rise before the crack of dawn. And spend my day driving all over the State of Arizona. I can now sleep until 0630 and retire when ever I want. Yup I am officially retarded retired.
Now since my income has been reduced it got me thinking about being able to afford tobacco. Question: is there any decent tobacco at a reasonable price? I am considering SWR, Grainger, H & H Sweet Cask, H & H Chestnut.
Thanks John

I'm also retired and live on a budget.I smoke mostly bulk tobacco. Some frown on it but I find it to be cheaper than tinned tobacco. That's not to say that I don't sneak in a tin now and then.

Congratulations John. Must be a great feeling. I'm still two years out.
Have you ever tried red Virginia? I put back 10 lbs of McClelland #5100 five years ago. My palate leans that way. Bought some Mason jars and canned it just like my grandmother taught us.
If that's too sweet and you lean more towards Burley, H&H Chatham Manor or Classic Burley Kake are good alternatives. Great all day smokes you can get from pipesandcigars.com at reasonable prices.
Enjoy retirement and your smokes.

Congrats. Retiring8 years ago was the decision I've made in the past decade. As for affordable tobacco, you'll see some huge sales coming up as producers look to reduce inventories in the coming year. P&C has a good deal on their H&H blends and more will be coming. If you're a burley guy then Prince Albert will certainly be around after the FDA mess.

Congratulations John , do not worry about affordable tobacco I live on Manna from heaven at times , but there is always a few pennies for my tobacco, you will have the freedom to choose what is important in life. The cost of tobacco in the States seems a fraction of what we pay in the UK.

Happy retirement John. You"ll always find a few bucks to buy puffing material. is right, I smoke Bulk Nitecap, got about 6 lbs, starting to hoard some John Cotton 1&3 also, wish that was in bulk.

C&D does many good bulks ... BNB, OJK, Billy Budd, etc. Also, now that you'll have more free time, consider ordering some whole leaf tobacco. It's the cheapest way to buy and fun to play around with. Congrats and enjoy!
