Sorry, kind of a gross question... But does anyone else here feel the need to spit a bit when pipe smoking? It seems to make my mouth water.

It can happen, depending on the blend your smoking. Some blends make you salivate more. If I’m outside and alone I just spit. If indoors I use an old spittoon......not a big deal.

I too just swallow it like usual, besides spitting isn't one of the nicest habits to have.
I use to indulge in Beech-nut and Redman and I can tell ya, the girls don't like it.

Plus, you can see whales out in the bay during the Winter months, which is when this photo was taken. I take it you've been to Sayulita? |

I do. Just don't like the idea of swallowing the tobacco juice and nicotine. I might add, however, that depending on the blend, and how you smoke it, this can often be kept to a minimum.
