(After careful observation) Trying to sound official there.Anyway to the point..I've noticed that when I hold my pipe in my right hand I hold it differently than when I hold it in my left hand..This is an entirely informal study of course..You ever pay attention to how you hold your pipe?

I’m either clenching my pipe or hold in my left hand, even though I’m right handed. Plus, when I hold my pipe in my left hand my pinky is never up in the air👍

I've got to check that one out. I don't think I hold it differently, but I haven't paid enough attention to know for sure.
I suppose it's whatever feels comfortable in each hand.
I'll add that to the list of things to watch out for next time I'm smoking my pipe.

I hold mine in my left and never really paid to much attention to how I hold it.
I reckon as long as I have a good grip on it and it's not upside down, I'm good to go.

Right handed, but Left is my dominant pipe hand 75% of the time. I also make an effort to move the bit left, center and right. If clenching it is usually on the right side.

Left handed I use either hand to hold my pipes. I am a clencher on the left side.

I can't tell while I'm thinking about it. I'm pretty sure I hold it with the stem turned inward towards my torso with my right hand, and stem outward with my left. Huh.

Having upper and lower dentures I'm not much of a clencher these days. Being right handed, I usually hold it by the bowl with two fingers and my thumb of my left hand most of the time.  |
