I am a drooler. Halfway through a bowl I sound like a kid trying to get the last of his root beer float with a straw. I’ve been eyeing the Savinelli Dry System for a possible solution. Any advice out there?

Any advice out there? That might help. Practice helps a lot. I still have a hard time not drooling while clenching. I would suggest a Peterson System pipe, but that would attract the buzzards.

Two suggestions:
Look for pipes which will pass a cleaner all the way through from stem to bowl.
9mm Savs work better than 6mm IMHO.
Best of luck.

I quit resting my tongue on the stem and that seemed to help tremendously

How do you practice not drooling? Mine is kinda involuntary. A lot of swallowing maybe?

It also helps if I am doing something with my hands so I don't think about the thing in my mouth. And yes, swallow a lot.

Place several paper towels in your mouth before smoking your pipe then it won't matter if you drool I was a drooler but the tongue thing and time seemed to help the problem, if I do get a swampy pipe I pipe cleaner it and that also helps a bunch

I'm the same. Here's what I've found out...
1. Straight pipes are better than bent (and easier to pass a pipe cleaner through too). 2. Filtered pipes help because the filter catches the drool. 3. When blowing the smoke out of your mouth, take the pipe out so you're not blowing moist air/smoke into the stem.
I hope some of that helps.

She won’t if I tell her it’s for smoking. Thanks guys for the quick responses! I’ll try these ideas out.

Here is another thought. Look at the placement of your pipe. While clenching is it toward the molers or is it toward the front teeth? If it is toward the side and back of your mouth your tounge will wick moisture into the stem, also is the pipe sticking straight out or does it angle down? Now if you are holding the pipe towards the front of your mouth is it angling down? If so the bit of the pipe is pointed towards the roof of your mouth away from your tounge and moisture is not able to seep into the stem.
I clench most of my pipes which are bent and straight I have little problem with moisture wicking into the stems. I have learned to balance them toward the front of my mouth so that the bit is pointed toward the mouth roof.
If you can try to find a Peterson pipe with a P-lip. The smoke comes out of the top of the bit not the end.
Hope this helps.

This should help +1 I clench a pipe from 10 to 30 minutes before holding in my left hand. The pipes with thr dry system will not necessarily stop the drooling! Stuff your cheeks with paper towel....that will surely help....😜😜😂😂😂😂

I forgot to say... Use a cob. I never get these issues with a cob.

I clench the bit with my front teeth and cap it off with my tongue when I'm not puffing.
