Wow, that's an impressive restoration.
I was wondering, on the stem, is that just polished and buffed? Did you sand some on it? Did you color it with anything?
Just curious how others are restoring their stems.

That's a real talent - to pick up a piece of history and return it to its former glory.
If I found myself in possession of older pipes on a regular basis, I would easily pick up this as a hobby. But, all the thrift and antique shops I have hit over the years, I have not come across a single pipe. I plan on branching out to new spots soon.
