OK, I just killed one of my favorite pipes. It dropped to the floor, and it snapped at the tenon. It's a GBD Marquis diplomate #752. It's a great little smoker. Can anyone recommend someone who could supply a replacement stem? I tried to pull the tenon bit out with a pair of pliers, so it's a little eaten up likely not repairable. I suspect I would need a full replacement. This is the pipe - GBD Diplomate from Reborn Pipes

A few members on here do repairs, if they feel the repair is reasonable they will chime in!! If it was me I’d get in touch with rebornpipes.com where you purchased the pipe. If your familiar with Al Jones he could do the repair properly, he’s a big GBD fan as well. Also a pleasure to do business with👍👍

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the suggestions. I will probably get around to everyone's suggestions. I went to Steve at RebornPipes first, but I already saw two new pipes that I want from his report smokers. He's got a beautiful Peterson Diplomate that none of you will like, so do not waste your time going to look at it

:-( Sorry that happened. I wonder if someone could just fit a delrin tenon, and not have to produce a whole new stem.

Easy fix for anyone with repair experience. Getting it to line up correctly is another matter. I would try here first with the fellas that want to do the work. I am sure they will contact you. Norwoods pipe repair is a poor choice. You will get it back fast but the workmanship is horrid. Sorry to link another forum. pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/what-would-you-do-norwoods-pipe-repair

I never knew Al Jones to replace tenons. I have known him for years. I could be wrong.

I would check in with Mike Myers at Walker Pipe Repair..he is one of the few places that have GBD Rondell's, and he can affix your current Rondell to a new matching stem.

Sorry to hear your news. As people have said, there are great restorers here that could repair it if its possible. I've seen work by slowroll that beggars belief (in a good way).

Nthing the recommendation of Mike Myers. He's very careful.
Also that stem probably won't need replacement. Mike can drill that sucker out and replace it with a new delrin or Vulcanite tenon, depending on size.

"Broken Pipe" has another meaning in the pipe smoking community. Glad that this is just a broken stem (not that that is a good thing).

Since Floyd retired their work is crap.

When I saw the title it made me wonder who pasted. I'm used to seeing this as a notice of a piper passing.
My condolences on the passing of your pipe. Was it a suicide or an accidental death?

I keep seeing this and thinking "who died". Can the mods change it to Broken Shank or something like that?
