The Peterson Killarney, was in great shape to begin with, so I passed on sending it in...the stem is a work in progress...no toothmarks, just oxidation that needs exercised.

That Bertram really came out great. Fine grain on that pot. Congratulations. This is about as good as barn finds get. (Nobody ever finds a Bo Nordh in a barn )

Yes, it works like a champ after I removed the corroded flint... it crumbled pretty easily and dumped out in powder, it must have been in there a long time. I was able to stump our tobacconist, he has tons of everything related to pipe smoking, and he had never heard of it. Thanks guys, I am going to enjoy them to their fullest. Initially, I thought the BBB had a lot of Birdseye on the rim, it has some, but not as much as I expected.

That's a very rare item on this side of the ocean.

Most all of these pipes, date back to yesteryear...The Peterson is a 308, and sifting through the internet, it appears that it has not been made since 1990, but may have been much earlier... petersonpipenotes.wordpress.com/tag/peterson-308-system/Mine has on the Silver K&P stamp Petsersons Dublin 3 lines Left side of the shank, semi circular is Petersons System 0 ...3 lines. On the back of the shank it says: Made in The republic of Ireland 2 lines A fair amount of birdseye that didn't show in the pictures...Any thoughts are welcome....

Those all cleaned up nicely ... enjoy! Thanks! I smoked the Pete today... It did well with the pipe cleaner test, even with the P-lip stem, which in my more currently produced pipe requires working the cleaner through during the smoke. This older pipe is much smoother in feeding the cleaner, and a great smoker. The boomerang stem really is a nice dangler, very light pressure doing so... sad that it isn’t offered in current production.
