It's been so humid here in New York I can't keep any of my pipes fired up.What do you guys and gals do when your pipe fights the weather?

We're always humid here in ni. And cold as well. I've found that the ambient temperature makes a vast difference to keeping the pipe lit.
What helps here is that it's normally windy so that helps with keeping the tobacco burning.
It's a bummer. I'd recommend extra drying of your tobacco. That might help at least a bit.

I agree with LL. It's always humid in South GA as well. Many of my blends I have to dry a little longer as the humidity goes up. When it's not as humid I can smoke them the way I like them.

In high humidity I try to get mine right before it turns crunchy. Still springy/spongy. That's the best I can describe it.

If you live in a humid climate, try putting your tobacco on a paper towel, and try 5-9 second intervals or so in the microwave. Don’t be afraid to use the microwaves in convenience stores when traveling... you will get strange looks though. Here in the Southwest, you just put it outside for about five minutes... while sitting in the cab of my truck out in nowheresville I did that with some Brown Bogie and a crow flew in and started eating it though... bet he had quite a nic-hit.

Either that or put some on a baking tray at about 100deg and then turn the oven off and let it sit for a few minutes. Seems to work well.

North West Arkansas is humid but South Arkansas is way worse. I'm completely content to have what I have and not what y'all have

Luxury Bullseye Flake coming out of the microwave smells like baked goods.

Humidity has ended quite a few bowls early for me this summer, on the rare occasion that it is even cool enough for me to enjoy a smoke outdoors.

Cool clear nights are a bit of heaven, I'm looking forward to them more than about anything right now.

It's simple, don't smoke outside! When given a choice, I would smoke outside any day and especially night. There's something about smoking a pipe and listening to the evening sounds that calms the soul.

I’m sitting on the back deck outside with a temperature of 75 degrees @ 90% humidity. Before I leave here in about an hour to take care of my son’s dogs it’s definitely shower time again!

The air gets stale too quickly. Outside all the way for me.
