I worked south of Hays in Kinsley for 7+ years. I made more than a few trips to Hays for work and always enjoyed a stop at Gella's for food & a beer; also, Al's Chickenette.

Welcome from North West Arkansas Tell us about yourself? As a gauge of career maturity, I signed up for Medicare in the spring of this year. I'm happily married to my first wife of nearly 45 years. We've two grown children and 3 grandchildren, two dogs, and a busy but great life. I tend toward acquisition disorder with fountain pens, wet shaving accouterments, and now pipes and tobacco. My wife is tolerant of my "hobbies"; she says it's better than a red convertible and hanging out in the pool hall (if we had one). I will say that she seems to appreciate my return to the pipe over my frequent cigars - all on the back porch. I worked in the Oil & Natural Gas industry for 31 years and for the last 12 years have been working full time in the vocation of ministry. I enjoyed my first career and I'm enjoying my second. I will say that going back to school at age 56 as a seminary student was a bit of a stretch both mentally and physically, but it all worked out. My preferred cigar is the Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Maduro. My pipe and tobacco preferences are under development. My libation of choice is Laphroaig 10 or a good IPA. I jarred up my first bunch of tobacco this evening, so the cellar is underway. Three pint jars of H&H Chatham Manor, 1 pint of SPC Potlatch, and a 4 oz. jar of Peter Stokkebye 52 Proper English. I've a small box of tobacco samples that I was PIF'd from a kind soul over on Badger & Blade. Plus I have on order some more Potlatch, a couple of ounces of SPC Seattle Evening, 8oz of Peter Stokkebye 17 English Luxury, 5 tins of Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g, a tin of Orlik Golden Sliced, and my biggest flyer, 24 oz of Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake. I think I'm set for awhile, depending how much I stash away.
