I really don't know enough about these tobaccos to write about them, so I won't. However, I will say.... McConnell Code - Relax - This tobacco boasts of Apple, Grapefruit, and Benedictine. I am a fan of all three. I had one bowl and won't rate it, but say I got the fruitiness and the Benedictine as promised. The fruit was losing out to the Liqueur, which is why I can't review it. I don't know if that was a one-off effect or not. It's just an interesting tobacco to keep an eye on. I would compare this to some of the Larsons C&D Nutty Irishman - Has some of the best aspects of Peterson with a little nougat. Flavor stayed. Have only smoked one bowl, so YMMV. Sutliff State Fair v C&D Apples and Cream - The Sutliff had the apple and a tad candy/caramel all through, but that was smoked in the new/old Carey, as was Nutty Irishman. C&D was smoked a few days ago and lost some flavor going down. You got your apples and cream on top. Maybe with another pipe or session it will be different. Going to make a recommendation to peterd-Buffalo Spirit . I feel good enough about the State Fair that if you are looking for a replacement to Middleton Apple, which is more burley, the State Fair does it. It's not all burley, but it held up as nicely. No stars, My intention is to give people that may be interested enough umph to buy some... before they disappear. Full reviews may follow when the mist is in the gloamin', and all the clouds are holdin' still

David, great post......I’ve smoked C&D Nutty Irishman a few times. If your a Cavendish lover this blend is one you should try👍 This blend has just a slight hint of Irish Mist liquor...,way in the background. Smokes smooth with no bite. Not many pipe smokers enjoy this blend because it’s definitely more of a Cavendish blend with some Burley. I’d rate it a 3 out of 5 stars.

That Code Relax sounds weird but good. I believe tonquin is in there, too. I have a sample coming to me from a SOTL on another forum.

Nice review, @cosmicbobo. I thought you were referring to me for a second.
I think I'd like the first one you reviewed. Sounds like it's right in my ball park.

I'd like War Horse Bar to the "should try" list for members of this forum. Don't think you will be disappointed. I bought 4 tins myself.

Just can't get into Aro's. But a great review brother. Thanks to you, brother (Seven Brothers) (and some samples from @10furlongs ) I now prefer burley to about all else, for regular smoking. The aros I like best have more burley than other stuff. And that comes below English

I just need to empty a few tins to justify it. It looks like War Horse Green is also a plug. I was to understand it was not. Will put that on my list, too

Took me a while to figure your comment. Actually, you're more like the tobacco I tried this morning, called Irish Blessing. It's an equal to Nutty, different flavor, but really rocks my casbah
