Are any of you folks familiar with the pipes made by Bill Walther in Arlington, Texas ? I've known Bill since the early '80s when he first started making pipes. I have two he made for me around '84 and they both are EXCELENT smokers ! One is a lovely grp4 sized squat bulldog with a flat/oval stem which makes it a real nice sitter and has a nice wide fishtail ebonite bit. The other one is a grp4 sized apple withe the same style stem and bit. They both have nice birdseye on both sides of the bowl and I believe were made from Grecian briar. He has a very nice website and is a totally custom one at a time maker. I've been happy with both of mine and was wondering if any of you guys have one of his pipes and if so, what are your impressions ? www.walthersmokingpipes.com/

I just checked out the website. His pipes are beautiful. You've done well to have 2 of them.
