So I went in and visited the shop for the first time today. Wow what an experience, Gordon was extremely helpful, found about some local events they have as well as a Saturday morning pipe club. Decent selection on pipes, they just had a Savinelli trunk club that I missed. All types of house blends and decent selection of tins. I didn’t want to spend to much money because peteguy has offered me a great deal on two pipes and some tabacco to try, just was told by the wife we can’t spend that much money at the moment. So I got a basket pipe, a selection Italian made pipes cheap and a tamper. He offered anytime to come in and sample any house blend for free. I did find out that Smitty the owner and original Edwards owner had passed away two weeks ago so they were going thru a tough time. I will post some pipe and tamper pics later when I get home.

Glad you had a good time👍👍. Did you purchase an older Edwards pipe? Maybe next time I go, most where a little more than I wanted to spend at the moment. I’m sure they have more than what they had out but he said he would be restocked soon. I got a no name pipe said they were his pick for people after the cob to try. Also gave me a nice pamphlet with great tips I will post up in a little bit.

Just keep your eyes on a few. If you have any questions just send me the link an I will also take a look at the pipe.

Your'e lucky to have an older style Edward's near you ! The only one here in the DFW area is in Dallas and it's not at all like the old Dallas store back in the '70s/'80s. This new one is basically a walk in cigar humidor with only one case of pipes of which maybe 6 are Bentons ( the new Edward's pipes) and mabe 10 or so bulk tobacco's withe mabe 6 or 8 brands of tinned tobaccos. Not at all a very pipe friendly place! Enjoy your Edward's !

I know what you mean about it being loud. While I love the look of a good briar pipe, my best smoking pleasure is from a cob.

Hi It is a shame pipe tobacco tax is so high in Florida. I am surprised anyone carries tins there anymore.
