I got a serious problem here fellas. As many of you know Puddin and I will be going to the KC pipe show for my birthday, and it was her idea to go. I just found out today that she will have to be AOC and on call for three weeks in a row, which is no small feat. On one hand Pudding may have a sunny breezy 3 weeks on the other hand she might get blasted and end up working 21 days straight all so I can go to some pipe show. I wanna go but not at the price that my baby could have to pay. Suzz says she gets tremendous pleasure seeing me enjoy the things I love and I'm not sure that should factor in to this equation! So do I sit back and see how things go or do I tell her at dinner tonight (date night) that it really aint all that important to me and we shouldn't go?

...tough question... if she REALLY wants to do it for you, you should allow her to make that choice... however, I would hate to see my SO work so hard for something like that...

I wouldn’t make the wife do all that for the show, use the cash saved to buy some stuff that you want and enjoy the time with her not stressing. I’m new to the marriage thing 6yrs on sept 8 but I was always told happy wife happy life and more pipes to you

Not sure this is a question that we are equipped to answer.
However, I would suggest thrashing it out with her and find out for sure. Better to discuss these things and bring them all into the open (imo).

I work for myself so I do all the cooking and 50% of the cleaning (my daughter does the other 50) I do all the yard work and all the laundry plus she has a Manhattan waiting on her every night when she walks through the door, yeah she's spoiled and she knows it |

I would say the choice is hers to make, and find out how she really feels about it. She may be looking forward to going to the show, if not you can just bag it for another time.

This is the way I see it. if she enjoys see'en ya do things that make you happy then she'll enjoy it more if you don't go, because if you went you'd feel bad if she had to pay big time for going to a pipe show. So for you to be happier is not to go at all and that should make her happy. But, we are dealing with women here and for some reason there reasoning isn't the same as ours and changes hourly.
So, maybe just flip a coin and hope what ever it lands on she won't use against you if the out come is bad.
