Trying to break in a much abused Savinelli Estrella. It has a replacement stem, but it is well done and I got it on the cheap so not a big deal. Overrun with cake on the top and bare briar at the heel. So going to put a few half bowls of C&D Pegasus through it over the next few days. Try to get some heel cake going.

This morning I begin breaking in the Kaywoodie #51 Relief Grain Billiard. 1/3 of a bowl of Peter Stokkebye Proper English shared with me by Josh, roadsdiverged. The draw is just fine on the pipe and the tobacco was very delightful indeed.  |

Not far from finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Lunch is nearly ready, and the Braves are about to play a double header against the Red Sox. A can of the almost illegally delicious Hansen's Mandarin Lime soda made with pure cane sugar is my drink.
