Hi all
New to the forum but not new to pipes. Smoked off an on for many years, but really picked it back up maybe 5 years back.
I am a professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, but I am a metallurgist by training. Before studying engineering I was an industrial mechanic and machinist, and trained to be an aircraft mechanic (A&P ratings worked in general aviation for a few year). I still tinker quite a bit, I have a small machine shop at home. I do some pipe repair and make some very amateur pipes when I can find the time.
I am a Lakeland junky, just finished a big bowl of G&H Dark Flake Scented. Other than that I am a bit of a tobacco omnivore, although lately I find myself drawn more to burley blends and VApers.

Welcome from the Mile High City! Glad to have you with us. I'm a retired aerospace engineer and am partial to Lakelands myself. My favorites are GH Bosun Cut Plug and Rum Flake.
