Howdy from a mile in the sky! Long-ish time piper here; it's been maybe 18 or 19 years since I bought a Bjarne, though it's only been 10 years or so since I really made an effort to understand and enjoy piping. It's nice to see the warm welcomes extended to a few familiar names coming from a place we all agreed was burning itself down; thanks for having us.
Today was a good day, dumpster fires be damned. Surrounded by friends and good food, smoking a bit of 5100, and introducing friends to LJP's No Name and some home-dark-fired C&D Autumn Evening. What was in your pipe today?

Alabama coast? I'm in the Mobile area at least twice a year. TinderBox in the mall sold me that first pipe.

Welcome to the Patch, hope you enjoy your stay and post often! I knew Bjarne well, he was a great Master of his craft. Any questions feel free to ask.

I just joined earlier today, but hell, welcome is welcome, right? I'm glad you joined, also.
I had been passing the afternoon with Marlin Flake. I think I may change over to St James Flake for my nightcap.

Welcome! I worked a lot in Denver in my former life - back in the late '80's and '90's. I frequented a tobacco shop somewhere along the 16th street mall, but then it was for a few cigars for the drive home. I don't know if it still exists. Since 2000 I've not spent near as much time in Denver. Last I was there in October of '17 I was amazed at the increase in traffic & I didn't get past Quebec St. coming in from the east!

Might have been Tewksbury. They shut down in 2016 after 20 years of operation. There's also Jerri's and Cigars on 16th, but I dunno how long they've been around. Tobacco Leaf and Edward's are my go-to shops these days. And, yeah, the traffic is getting silly. Rush hours are nuts these days... glad I don't live or work anywhere around it. If you can brave the traffic again, though, and if you like chocolate... Look up a place called The Chocolate Lab. They're experimenting with dishes prepared with what must be Lane aromatic bulks. I've had a chocolate gelatin infused with what I think was 1Q smoke, and they also started doing cherry aromatic infused Manhattans.
