That's a good one. Rain on a sunny day does have a distinctive smell over here.

Grass field freshly cut, clean baby, leather in a saddle shop, cordite waffling in the air, Roux making in a kitchen, coffee brewing, apple pie baking in oven, storm approaching wind so fresh and strong it almost cuts your lungs like a knife.

Quite possibly. I also like the smell of oil base pain, purple primer for PVC pipes, and pretty much any type of solvent. But, I also like the brain cells that I havent killed off already so I wear a respirator when I'm using them.

I love smells of all kinds ... one of the great things about snuff. Everything from citrus and flowers to Barnyard ammonia, Mangos to Monkey houses, diesel to doughnuts ... etc.

When I’m deep in a wooded area near a stream, the scent of “ Mother Nature “....clean fresh air....the smell of “ Springs “ first flowers blooming and a hint of pine in the background. I believe that’s how JimInks once reviewed a tobacco blend.....lol.
As in the movie “ the scent of a woman “!! Also, I can still remember as a young child going to work with my Dad on the weekend in Jackson Heights, Queens. His business was near a bus terminal, there was something about walking by and the smell of diesel fuel coming from the exhaust systems of the buses. It’s crossed my mind a number of times “ there should be a men’s cologne with a similar scent “. The type of scent that would attract women who wants to go on a long “ journey “!
Now for the worst scent I’ll never forget.......the stinking lousy aroma of the Men’s room in Grand Central Station back in the 60’s and 70’s. Took over 100 years for the City council to pass a vote and allocate funds to eliminate those odors that could make any person using the facilities “ lose their lunch “!!!

@lonecoyote brought another one to mind...
Exhaust fumes from a 2-stroke petrol engine (like a go cart). I could breathe those in all day.

When I was a kid my mother and I would walk to church on Sunday mornings and pass by several saloons that we're either still open from the night before or just opening. And on the days that the weather was nice and the front doors were propped open the smells of stale beer and cigarettes wafting out there were awesome. Maybe a little odd but it is what it is.

The walk-in humidor at a B&M. I could wander around in circles for hours just soaking in the aroma of fine tobaccos.

Although, it seems that others here share your proclivity to what I would classify as bad, chemical smells.
