I got this pipe from a long time Collector of all things Missouri Meerschaum. The stem is a fishtail long style made of ebonite, the collar on the hardwood shank is nickel and the cob bowl is sort of like a mini Twain although it was made long ago and the bottom is cut at an angle like a Cherrywood Sitter can often be. I’m smoking Virginia no. 1 ready rubbed from 2002! banjo

It’s the only cob pipe I have dedicated to 1 tobacco, Virginia, and it is a nice cool smoke with all the nuances Virginia has shining through. banjo

Just out of curiosity, do you know how many pipes you own?
If so, do you know what the breakdown looks like by bowl material?
I don't know that I've ever seen a more varied collection of so many pipes!

Nice looking cob...I like the length of the stem, in particular.

Since I refuse to count them I don’t have a clue, I could tell you approximately how many cobs I own, how many by Becker, Castello, JT Cooke, Dunhill and Trevor Talbert only because they are in Pipe stands but other than that, nope. banjo

OK, in observance of our other "Confessions" thread, I would like to confess that I like seeing what pipe bamboo will show each day. It's like pipe porn.

Very cool! I love my three dollar cobs. If I could find an alternative stem that would take a filter, it would be a match made in heaven. That cob is a MUST HAVE when I am on the fly- so I don't have to worry about dropping and breaking my precious pipes.
