LL it’s a 100 yr old Arcadian house My wife found to be sold and moved to your location, bought it, mover cut it in half, moved it to my farm, 10 miles down the road, had a lot of small rooms, wife and I knocked out walls, redid floors, new electrical, plumbing. Lot of work, not sure if we hadn’t gone the Modular route it would have been better. More charm I’m sure but not as practical.

Nice story Brad! At least you have a home with some character, and it will appreciate in value over the years. Oh, the roses look beautiful too.

Beautiful roses. Your growing techniques have proved successful. I tried growing them once. Too much work needed to beat back diseases in my location. Rust, black spot, and a host of beetles were a constant threat. I just didn’t have the time needed to properly care for them. Now I have the time but not the health. A Chrysler Rose in the first blush of sunshine with the morning dew still visible is a resplendent aromatic experience.

Classic Crack picture, laying down laminate in kitchen, snack bar is taken from very old Cypress barn, replaned, top of bar had a 2 inch thick by 14 inch beam that I quartered. Too much work. By the way my crack man was an ex marine,

This is the last picture to bore you guys, the porch that I smoke on, since that picture was taken I had a metal roof installed, gavalumme in keeping with the old house theme, they don’t give those away.

That's something else I'd love... A porch on which to smoke. I like yours.

Love your home Oldcajun123. You've earned it with the hard work you have done all your life...raising fine kids, and a fine life.
"my crack man was an ex Marine," No such thing as ex-Marine...former Marine maybe...once a Marine, always a Marine. No greater respect than for our armed forces. They are what gives us the right to b**ch on forums and yell at each other, in a pleasant way of course.

By the way my crack man was an ex marine, Brad, I give you credit....I would have filled the crack with ice water....lol. Did your new knife finally arrive?
