The Indian Casinos around here are smoker friendly, I was really surprised when Darin told me that Cliff Castle near his home was non smoking. The Wild Horse Pass even has no restriction on smoking in the outlets mall at WH Pass... I donβt walk in the stores, but no one hassles me in the open areas.... the cig smokers hang out by the ashtrays near the entrances.... I donβt need an ashtray once I start puffing. We have to try everything to get rid of the white devils.

Just got back. Not a problem at all. Even met a Canadian pipe'er that was staying at our Hotel.

Just got back. Not a problem at all. Even met a Canadian pipe'er that was staying at our Hotel. I am a Vegas junkie and have been there at least 30 times. I regularly enjoy pipes and cigars in casinos and have never had a problem. Ever since the legalization of the mary-j though, I have had the occasional "casino representative" come up to me and make sure the pipe was loaded with tobacco and nothing else! Las Vegas was where I started to like Captain Black Grape as well. Seriously. Anyway, back to the matter at hand - no, Las Vegas will not ban smoking anytime soon. I cant say that it will never happen, but if Vegas banned smoking in casinos, they would lose roughly 1/3 of their revenue from the Asian and European tourists who gamble heavily and smoke indoors. That is the large operators bread and butter, and frankly I probably would refrain from going to Vegas (which means my healthy bankroll would refrain as well) if I couldn't enjoy my pipe or cigar while there. I can see a day when some casinos may go smoke-free by choice, and they are certainly within their rights to do so, but their top-line revenue would fall dramatically.

That's a shame! It was always one of the pure Pleasures in life to sit at a blackjack table for hours and hours enjoying a few cocktails and a cigar.
Your stories remind me of a time when my kids high school basketball team went to the state championship and a bunch of us went to watch the games, prior to the game we all met at a bar and had just fired up some really nice cigars when an obese lady wearing a purple muumuu came over and with a cigarette dangling from her mouth, burning one of her chins, told us to put those stinking things out!
Needless to say, the next 30 minutes or so or very interesting. LOL

Smoking alone or in a roomful of pipers is fine with me. I used to smoke cigars in casinos. Not worth having to pay attention to that and gambling

Just got back from a Celebrity cruise, best cruise I have been on in a long time. No smoking in the casino, not even cigs. I am going to save a lot of money by not cruising Celebrity.
