Found this while doing some research. This is a link to a site that covers a lot of the Metal pipes such as Vikings, Kerstins ,Falcons ext., www.smokingmetal.co.uk lots of info and history. |

Sable +1. Dating non hallmarked pipes is the real challenge. I thought I’d see if this thread would catch on. The great thing about the forum is there’s usually a (insert name brand here) guy that can date a pipe or narrow it down to an era. I’ll get my ducks in a row and try post some information on GBD. Now if we only had an LHS guy....  |

Birmingham hallmark chart for English pipes. I previously used this same chart to date a matching set of GBD bulldogs and case still in my collection to 1949. Very useful this. |

Great idea, Dave.
Is this thread intended only to provide sources for folks to be able to date their own pipe, or is this an invitation as well for a member to post images of their pipe, asking for assistance with dating it? Just to avoid confusion.
