OK, pipe novice question. Has anyone tried any of the blends from The Country Squire and, if so, what are your opinions of them
.....also
There has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth about the demise McClelland and their Frog Morton series.
So is there something comparable to Frog Morton or Frog Morton on the Town? I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere, so rather than beat a dead horse, maybe someone can just direct me to the thread where this has already been discussed.

There was just a thread on Froggy substitues, in fact: thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/4633/mcclelland-frog-mortons-cellarBut I don't think anyone mentioned Country Squire, so good to bring it up again. Hunting Creek is a great aromatic that might appeal to Frog lovers, though the Latakia is much lighter. Similar deep, rich, sweet flavors, though. The only other one I've tried is White Rose. Not bad, but very subtle in the flavorings. When I smoke an aro I want it to really taste like its description. I also have some some Angry Cornishmen but haven't tried it yet. I got all three in a trade with @lady Margaret, so maybe she can tell you more....

I like their blends. And, being a complete aromatic addict, Old Toby is my favorite. A great aromatic and a Tolkien reference, a win/win!!

I haven't tried any squire blends. I can't bring myself to put in an order because they just don't have enough interesting sounding nonaromatic blends.
I'm kind of a cheapskate though, as well, so take that for what it is.

I've enjoyed the handful of aromatics I've tried from them.
