Good to hear , I have only a handful of flooded cars so far , I’m guessing no one around to see how bad the damage is to their vehicles yet. We are loaded with representatives to help I think it will be crazy for us after the storm. Those flooded out cars will be sold after sitting in floodwaters as clean cars inside and our....it’s happened prior. Once a claim is put in, the insurance companies condemn the vehicles. Always trace a Vin number if purchasing a used car in areas that are known for flooding!! PEOPLE LIE, as if you don’t know @ 30...lol. 😀

Had no power for just over 2.5 hours....it’s back now and will most likely go out later this evening. Just extremely heavy rain right now and wind gusts up to 45 mph. Suppose to get worse in a few hours here in Knightdale. Still under a tornado watch. Thanks for asking Paddy....you’ll always be number ONE in my book....that’s far better then number Two.... 🤪😜😂 I'd rather not be your number 2...

Wishing you ALL well.....I’m going offline so I can charge all my mobile devices. If you don’t see me tomorrow that means.....NO POWER!! ALL BE SAFE AND STAY INDOORS........STAY CLEAR OF WATER DUE TO DOWNED POWER LINES!!! What do the gators do when this happens? Do they burrow or ride the waves? Gators and all others feel the pressure gradients...can make them crazy with fear and aggression...stay away from them!!

It's very quiet in here today. I suspect the weather has something to do with it.
I hope everyone is safe.

Power just came back on, for now. Was out most of the day yesterday. That being said, we've been very fortunate so far. Although quite windy at times and pretty steady rainfall, nothing catastrophic. As you can see from this photo, the storm is smaller than it was when it was out at sea. It's progress has slowed to a crawl. The good news? No winds over 100mph. The bad news? It's agonizingly slow and dumpin lots of rain on folks. They're saying our most severe rainfall will be later today and tonight. Good to have the power back on. Keepin my Corona cold and all. ;-) Yesterday afternoon, while without power, I was sitting up in the cave, smoking Stoney in my Massive Edwards (2 1/2 flakes) and reading a book, all the while the wind whipping furiously about. Couldn't help but grin every now and again. To the rest of the BPers in the storms path, here's hopin & prayin that ya'll are safe and sound.

Just to add to bonanzadriver's post RE: Cold Beer. When I was in my early 20's, a hurricane took out all the power lines and most of the utility poles on the street where I lived. We were without power for exactly 30 days. I drank my beer warm, but someone said it was OK because Australians drank it warm. I thought that if it was fine with Crocodile Dundee it was fine with me. When the electricity came back on and I could cool off my beer again, it tasted funny. Glad to hear Dino and @lonecoyote and all the others in the path of this misery are holding up. I wish you all well.

So far, we're fine. Haven't lost power, but have had some rain and wind. It's supposed to get worse tonight, but I think we are far enough away from the coast that things will work out for us.

Could you imagine his pipes and 2,000 pound plus tobacco’s on the roof of his home waiting to be rescued. 🤪😜😂
