Join Thompson Cigars and place an order, sign up for a monthly delivery of a few cigars. That’s where I received my first decent humidor free of charge. Excellent customer service, you have nothing to lose👍

In a word ... no. After much trial and error, I've found the "Tupperdore" to be the easiest and most reliable. It requires FAR less attention and will hold the RH for much longer. Boveda 65% packs would make it even easier but can be done without them. Also, regardless of how you go, always calibrate your hygrometer because they can be pretty inaccurate: Place a teaspoon of salt in a bottle cap or small cup and dampen it with a few drops of water (without dissolving it). Carefully place the wet salt and the hygrometer inside a see-through container and close tightly. You can use a zip lock bag provided it seals well and you leave some air inside as well.

Unless you are really getting in to it heavely the difference in the lower end humidors is nothing, make sure to get some boveda packs and you should be good.

Check Google for a coolerdor. Heard they work and the sky is the limit on the amount of storage. Serious.

I have several laying around ... for a reason. LOL Living out East it may not be as much of an issue but cheap humidors don't work in Arizona. Obviously, the choice is all yours. However, I'd look into the Tupperdore / Coolidor concept before buying. Edit: I see John knows too!

One thing to consider with humidors is that the tighter the lid seals the better the box holds humidity. The most costly one is not always the best one.

Agreed 99% I would go with the 69, other than that this is spot on. I'm not saying Darin is wrong I'm saying that where I live my cigars like the 69 Bovida

Coolerdors work great. I have one with boxes of cigars in it, boveda in each box and I check it every 6 months squish the packs and look at the hygrometers. I have a couple humidors in the closet that I dont use anymore. Ive taken to using the ammo boxes that la fincas come in, the real metal ones with a rubber seal for 30 cal rounds they hold up 90 sticks of 6 x 50. They seal perfectly and a boveda per 25 keeps everything beautifully stable even though I smoke out of it weekly.

Tupperdor. I’ve got Lock&Lock brand containers that hold 50-60 sticks with 2 large 65rh Bovedas. They hold at 65 perfectly and the Bovedas need recharging every year or two. The cigars smoke perfectly.

Coolidor I sware by them. I have 5 ranging from 178 quart an a little smaller. It looks like the Spanish Cedar on the homemade coolidore isn’t needed? Most boxes have cedar in them and the proximity of them will keep the others in the right scent.
