In the past month I’ve noticed 3 members with 1,000 and 2,000 plus posts have not been posting on the BriarPatch. Hope those 3 members are doing well. Come on back....y’all know who you are👌👍👍. Let’s keep this forum going forward in the right direction. If for “ any “ reason your not posting due to an issue with any other member of this forum please send a PM to a Moderator.

lately, When I click on the “recent posts” tab, it is overload time for me... with time limitations, I scan for the most appealing an prioritize accordingly.
With the people in question, I imagine that sometimes life gets in the way, and again, prioritizing of time is a necessity.

If they are missed, as they obviously are, and if they were appreciated, I would think they would appreciate being called out by name. Recognition is a good thing. Just a thought.

There is an ebb and flow to forums. Always has been, always will be. I think it's quite a feat that we maintain so much activity in the summer months. Those are usually the doldrums.
I wouldn't worry to much, but I would agree that there is nothing wrong with mentioning them by by name.

I used to post a lot more and then life got in my way and I have been working every day and my post count has suffered, I think this may be the case here

Many folks have wives, husbands, children, grandkids and other immediate family. Sure we wonder why they aren't posting, but most times it is that life has caught up with them and they may be doing personal things. Many people don't post about their personal life, as it is personal.
I hope these men return, but if not there will be others to take there place.

Here is something to consider why people come and go. First is the loss of interest in the forum. Second is the ebb and flow of interesting topics.
I know for me the interest is waining. The thought of posting takes much thought.

I commend you though, but this is a place to meet people with similar interests and post away. If you have made great friends cool. I know you from 2 other forums, we’ve had no issues. Nor have I ever considered you an a$$hole, not my personality 👍👍 PS
WE AS PIPE SMOKERS SHOULD ALL GET ALONG......disagreements are normal within life in general. No reason for out right nasty arguments within a thread of any forum. |

For myself, I like to listen and to read much more than to comment, so I don't post nearly as much as I peruse.
