I got a phone call from my internet provider (allegedly) saying that my internet will be disconnected and they can fix all the viruses on my computer. These are the people that try to get people to download teamviewer and take control of your computer, screw it up and then charge you for fixing it.
Rather than hang up immediately, I try to see how long it takes before they hang up on me. I managed to get to 15 minutes this time before they hung up on me. They phoned back and I got to 7 minutes, before they hung up again.

There are YouTube channels dedicated to messing with these jerks. I find that a lofty goal. If you are in the mood search for it, it is pretty funny.

I don't have the balls to let them onto my computer first. I just pretended to get flustered and ask a load of questions until they hang up. |

These scammers also pose as Microsoft employees. I tick them off after a 15 minute chat....once they think they have a “ sucker “ I tell them....you idiot....I don’t even have a Windows based O/S running on my network. I use Linux and now will ping your server through the night. I wonder why I never hear back from them....lmao!!

After years of hearing about it I finally got the call telling me if I din't pay money now on taxes that I owe, the police would be on there way and arrest me in a few hours. Little did they know I'm crazy organized with my money and called me on a day I had nothing better to do. Made sure to get a number to call them back on and used my computer to call them over and over and over again.

After years of hearing about it I finally got the call telling me if I din't pay money now on taxes that I owe, the police would be on there way and arrest me in a few hours. Little did they know I'm crazy organized with my money and called me on a day I had nothing better to do. My friend has a virtual machine set up just to mess with them. He lets them on and water lots of time taking control of a brand new install of Windows 95 with no other software or data then kills the machine. Apparently this really ticks them off.

Read a story yesterday that 50% of calls last year were all robo calls directed toward your cell phone. The don not call list is a joke. I just block every 800 number and don't answer the call if they need to get a hold of me they will send a letter.

...I got tired of playing them... as soon as I detect that it's "them" on the phone (which takes about 2 seconds) I wish them a hearty f*** y** and hang up...

I used to get repetetive calls during the day when I slept because I was trucking at night.
I told an annoying caller that I have terminal cancer and that I have never been proven guilty in a court of law for any crimes so far...I asked "Kathy" if she would like to meet me in a Tallahassee bar for a few drinks, when I saw the city the call originated from.
They scrubbed me from the victim list.

These guys almost got to my mom once. She was just about to fall for it - even though she has a Mac and they said they said they were calling from Windows support. But something clicked and she started asked a lot of questions, then eventually the guy got so frustrated he said "Madame, you are a very stupid woman!" and hung up on her! She was cracking up by that point.
I wish the Do Not Call list actually worked.

I ask if he is bringing a posse because it will take at least three marshalls and a posse to get me out of here. Still waiting. |
