That annoys me no end too. Now, we get told, a repair man will be with you between 7 and 5.
Gee, thanks for narrowing down the time slot.

Either show up on time or call the customer, that’s what good service comes down to as well. Hope your issue was resolved without costing you a small fortune!!

HVAC warranty work is ALWAYS bs. It's always the next day because they fix everything with remanufactured parts. They keep them at a warehouse until needed. If you pay out of pocket, it's a whole different story. That's how it is around here anyway.
At work we use a private HVAC man. If he tells you 10:30, hes normally there at 10.

This is like a universal law of repair men, they never come at a good time, Comcast people too.

HVAC warranty work is ALWAYS bs. I have an older HVAC system in my house so I kept a maintenance contract on the system. They came out 2x a year for check ups, replace filters, and offer a good discount on repair work. Last year I canceled it. Every time the guys came out they told me some different part on either my furnace or AC unit was going to imminently fail so I should replace it now. In 5 years none of those parts every needed to be replaced.

They are some of the biggest crooks in the mechanical business. Here they always pull the capacitor scam on every call. They tell them it is 30% out of spec and will cause catastrophic damage if not replaced. Then they charge between 300-400 dollars each for parts that cost 3-10 dollars. And they do this all day long, week after week
