It occured to me the purpose of "National Cheeseburger Day" is to get consumers out and buying which is why the slowest day of the week was selected- Tuesday. So, as a patriotic American who knows his duty, I drove on down to the village of Questa to visit "Pat's Place". A bacon, green chili cheeseburger with all the trimmings: sliced tomato, sliced red onion, sliced dill pickle wedges, peperocini, lettuce leaves. It is vital that mayonaise be applied to the diced green chili, not a lot, just enough to hold the little buggers in place. Otherwise they drop out on to the plate or a shirt front. All served on a proper bun which remains intact all the way to the last bite. Crispy fries, not needed, but appreciated.

yep....spotted thread yesterday. My supper: www.schwans.com/products/product?id=58102Either out on CharBroil small grill, or if looks like rain, on indoor Geo.Forman. Will probably freak out everybody but I have a stomach from hell. Grill medium (about 5mins at 300 indoors). Some butter or marg on the roll, bit of OlYorke sharp cheddar spread cheese on other side, wee bit of salt and that's it. No "condiments". Side of good size bowl of smooth Mussleman's applesauce. Hope all enjoy the day Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY

Just finished a Hippo 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger with a side of onion rings. Just got call from the doctor's office saying that he needs to see me asap. I doubt that they are connected.

Ron....don’t wait...make the appointment ASAP!! I HATE when I get a call like that on a Friday after the doctors office is closed and I worry the entire weekend what’s up now! Ticks me off, I asked 2 of my doctors to PLEASE don’t leave me that type of message late on Friday’s.

Gotta say I'm not a cheeseburger fan what so ever. That's not saying I don't like cheese cuase I do, love a good sharp cheddar. But, for some reason cheese (which is usually American) on a burger just spoils it for me. Maybe if they'd put a good cheddar or even mozzarella on a burger I would. Yes, I know there's places out there that do but, for the most part the norm is American (processed) cheese which, and not to be unpatriotic but, the stuff sucks swamp water in my book. I rate it right up there with that nasty melted crapola they call cheese that so many like on there nachos. Its not cheese guys, its a facsimile. Lord knows whats in it. Anyway, I reckon this is my way of saying "Thank you But, No Thank you" to Cheeseburger Day.

Also Blue Cheese Burger, one of my favorites. A decent white cheddar works best for me in general application. I have added Provolone, Muenster, even Camembert.

I've gotta say, I love the American processed cheeseburger cheese. But more importantly, Ronv69... I hope you're OK.
