Sadly, the politicians no longer abide by it, and they delegate authority to bureaucrats that are unaccountable to the voter. The system of checks and balances are sadly a quaint notion.... The trajectory we are on, along with a populace that is pretty ignorant about such basic principles, it does not bode well for our future.

This country has needs to improve some things but,I remind myself every day how lucky I am to live here.
