Hello All!
I'm a n00b (4 months to be precise) pipe smoker and I'm very much enjoying my journey of discovery. Started with MM cobs, and knew I'd enjoy the hobby after my 1st smoke (which happened to be OGS). From OGS, I branched out in both pipe and tobacco interest, contracting, I should warn the wary reader, fulminant and unrelenting cases of both TAD and PAD. I LOVE English/Balkan blends, VaPers and VaBurs, although Burley and I are having a particularly colorful oropharyngeal jousting tournament when it comes to body chemistry and tongue-chewing.
As far as pipes, I now have a rather cozy arsenal of pipes from which to imbibe my tobacco goodness, and they include: 2 Savinelli Roma 673KSs, a Savinelli Quandale and ChurchWarden 601, a Savinelli Professor, a Bones Bent Brandy 3, and an AKB (Muhsin) Meerschaum Lattice Brandy. My favorite pipes are my Radice Rind Pure (unfinished) Billiard, and my Radice Bent Billiard Morta (tho those "Friday Savinellis" sure are nice).
Yes, I've got it bad. I've sampled tobaccos from SPC, Dunhill, G.L. Pease, Cornell & Diehl, probably a total of 30 different blends to date. I've also purchased some blending tobaccos to educate my oh-so-N00B palate.
Hope to learn a lot from all of you veterans and N00bs alike.
Oh, and one more thing, although this deviation is 2 days early:
"Yaaarrrggggg, that's not a pitcher o' me as me avatar, me hearties, but it be a token o' me extreme fondness fer th' legendary "Black Frigate" tobacco by Cornell 'n Diehl. Savvy?"
Nite Folks!

Welcome from the Mile High City! Nice to have you with us. Sounds like you've sampled a wide gamut of tobaccos in four months. Glad you're enjoying the journey! Body chemistry is an interesting thing. I don't have a problem with burleys, but have to be careful with red Virginias. Everybody is different. P.S. Nice avatar.

Welcome from NC Ohio. I have a tin of Black Frigate in the mail and I am anxious to try it. I’m smoking Lord Nelson as I type and it may be my favorite tobacco. Since Nelson and pirates would probably kill each other on sight, I better keep those two tobaccos on opposite sides of the cellar or the whole thing may go up in flames.

Welcome.
I might have to steer clear on "talk like a pirate day" though.

Hello from the former Republic of Texas, being raised in Tampa we had talk like a pirate days before it was a thing. What kind of pirate gets an annual day o celebration?
