I’m 67 and don’t take naps....if I were able to sleep I most likely would give it a go!

I nap when my son naps for now. First thing I learned as a parent, sleep when they sleep.

I dont get them often anymore, but a 20-30 minute nap in the middle of the afternoon is always wonderful.

A short nap helps reduce the back pain by relaxing the muscles. I don't take pain pills and don't feel a lot of pain. Wife doesn't like it when I'm in excessive pain. She calls me Mr. A**hole
This morning I spent 3-4 hours standing at the wood lathe fighting with and working on shaping a bowl. Hard dry wood light slow cuts. Got to a point I had to stop and sit.

As a young man working in the rice fields, coming in for dinner we all chose a spot on the floor and through the screen door you could hear the chickens, Grandpaws Old Wall clock, sounds I will remember forever, oh it was the best and shortest nap I ever had, BACK TO THE FIELDS.

I take naps about every other day. 30 to 90 minutes. I am doing a little better at night now with supplemental oxygen, so not needing naps as frequently and they are shorter.

Love a nice weekend nap - about the only chance I get. Used to nap during serious workloads in college and it got me through.

Back when I was working, Sunday afternoon was daddy's nap time. Me and that couch were best of buddies. Now, living the singular life, any day is a nap day !!

I wish I could nap as well as I used to. I used to be a nap Jedi. Life and pressure have robbed me of my napping super power. Sigh

Naps are good. My Dad told me many times that when you begin to feel like you need a nap it was your body telling you that some part of it needed rest. A nap provides an opportunity for the body to refresh itself. I believe this. One should make an effort to nap whenever one has the urge.

I have sleep problems both from sighted non-24 sleep/wake disorder and chronic pain.
I spend about 17 hours a day in bed but only 2 1/2 hours or so of them actually sleeping.
