I don't much care for them but I do like licorice so I have found Sambuca to be in my wheel house in small amounts

Funny thing about that Sambuca. I don't like licorice. Not even a little. But I sure do enjoy Sambuca.

Well not many people do but I find it quite tasty and just between you and me Sambuca is a damn fine ARO but don't tell anyone I said that because I'll call you a liar if you do!

I love Licorice Many years ago in Michigan I got a licorice flavored tobacco from a smoke shop.I smoked it for a good while. The smoke shop closed though and my source went away.

Unless that shop was a true tobaconnist making their own blends, I'd bet dollars to donuts what you got from that shop was relabeled Sambuca by Peter Stokkebeye.

I absolutely love licorice and tobacco. To me Ramsgate is the best of the entire Esoterica line. Luckily it is over if the easier to get.

Though not classified as an Aromatic I find War Horse Bar has most of the traits of an Aromatic. It’s sweet, good tin note, wonderful smoking characteristics, and has a very pleasant room note along with a long lasting aftertaste.

I'm one of the black sheep of the forum - I love aromatics...not exclusively, but I do like a good aromatic.
I've never tried Sambuca flavoured tobacco but I'm willing to give it a go.

Na, you aren’t alone. I love a good aro too, heavy and light. I only know a few smokers that don’t like at least one aromatic. Problem is the plethora of BAD Aros out there

Funny thing about that Sambuca. I don't like licorice. Not even a little. But I sure do enjoy Sambuca. Licorice candy is flavored with licorice, the plant. I hate it. Sambuca is flavored with aniseed, which I find much more pleasant in all foods, not just liquor.

I like licorice, anise flavored liquor, and tobacco. But I absolutely cannot stand anise flavored tobacco.

Haven't tried that one but Blackpool is supposed to be similar and is a great blend. Not sure which one is more licoricey. I've tried one bowl of Stokkebye Sambuca and wasn't crazy about it, but have not given up on it yet. I know it's apple and oranges, but it can't compare to Blakpool when I want that type of flavor. Maybe I find licorice a good casing, but not anise - even if they are similar.
