Sounds like they're trying to pick up the ball for McClelland - Good on them. Thanks for the reviews Jim. I was thinking that maybe Sutliff was trying to create an affordable version of the Esoterica line.

Just tried this on Saturday, and it is now in my top 5 blends. You described it so eloquently.

Just ordered a tin of each. I was set back aftero I ordered to find out they were 40gm tins. And there was Black Cavendish used, I hope it isn't more than a condiment.

John, I ordered my Red Crumble Kake @ Smokingpipes and the tin was 1.5.oz....no worries๐๐ The Red consists of Virginiaโs.....no Cavendish was found. We are talking about Sutliff Crumble Kake correct?

Yup, The Sutliff crumble kakes. According b to Jim at least one has that stuff in it. Not the Red, the only one I ordered 4 tins. Itโs a full 1.5.oz. Smokes goid fresh with some air drying. This will age superbly ๐๐๐

It's pretty good. Any who appreciated smoking McClelland #5100 straight should like it, no worries. Will be fun to see how it changes with age.

John, The Sutliff Crumble Kake Virginia Perique is the only Kake that has Cavendish added. From what I can see itโs the last component in this blend. Should be okay๐

I preordered the Sutliff Va Perique before it was available. When it arrived and I tried it ,I liked it enough to buy 3 more tins.I haven't tried the red yet but I plan to get some on my next order.

Believe me, you wonโt be disappointed with the Red. If you smoke a tin fresh let a bowl full air dry for roughly 30 minutes. Get a couple, will definitely be an excellent smoke with just a couple of years of aging ๐๐๐

I love the English kake and the vaper is more peppery than I'd like so I'm hoping it will mellow out.
