This 5 knuckle bamboo shank with a straight Grain Dublin that has fields of plateau around the top and it sports a black ebonite stem, comes from the bench of Pipemaker Walt Cannoy, keeping it smokey with more of the Virginia no.1 from Mac Baren.banjo banjo

Quite a few break down from the stummel and others at the stem, a few at both. It really doesn’t bother me now that I can’t travel much since leaving behind a pipe I know I’d love to have while away from home isn’t an issue. I’m sad that it has come to extremely limited driving on my part, heck my car has been gone over a year now and if I’ve put 120 miles on the family car since I’d be shocked since the last 3 years I owned the SL500 it registered under 4000 miles, considering it was a 1995 nearly 97% restored with 145k original miles it was just breaking in. banjo

PS Can you clench that pipe for any length of time?I don’t clench Ted, it rests against my uppers as it sits on my lowers, now if I had natural teeth it wouldn’t be considered much of a feat but I wear full upper and lower dentures and use no fixative and needless to say the way I do it the pipe will move left if I move my head to the right. Unless you have a slight overbite allowing a void you probably have to clench, I had kept the model of my teeth made moons ago when I had some partials made to prevent further problems, the dentist had my original bite pattern duplicated in the dentures. Once I had Chemotherapy my teeth began to crumble which got them nervous so they did a bone scan to ensure my skeletal structure wasn’t under attack as well, thankfully my bone density was satisfactory and stable. banjo
