When I was a little fella living in western NC It was mostly farm country. All of these small farms had several fruit trees on them. The farmers ate fruit. They canned It.They made jelly They dried it.They made fruit pies and cobblers. Then one day at a tobacco manufacturing company some dude sitting in his office smoking his pipe said to himself..Hey.. folks like fruit lets make fruit flavored pipe tobacco. You know the story from here..Cherry,Apple,Peach,Plum,Orange.Who knows what else they tried. Now even Grape..Personally I don't care a lot for fruit flavored tobacco..What say you on this topic? Do you like fruit flavored tobacco?

...of the "fruity flavors" of tobaccos I've tried, it's been more about "room note" than any taste...

I enjoy Cult Blood Red Moon......more of a deep cherry brandy flavor....no chemical after taste.
Also SPC Plum Pudding and their Special Reserve πππ
PS Excellent room note on both mentioned.

I like aromatics and am not sure who decided that if it did not have camel dung smoked Latakia that the blend was not worth smoking. If you want to enjoy that heavy English or Balkin blend a light aromatic beforehand just might enhance those more pronounced flavors for you. We all look forward to our annual look at me in the garage dressed in a artic expedition suit because my wife will not let me smoke stinky stuff in the house pictures. Hey even Kool Aid is tasty if you have not had it in thirty years. So don't ostracize those aromatics instead explore and enjoy.

@lonecoyote just blew the lid off of one of the biggest secrets in Tobaccoland. Though I would be hard pressed to "Name that Fruit" in two puffs, MM Great Dane is one of the best tobaccos around. Russ O blended that and it is very unique. I have between sixty and a hundred tobaccos and there is nothing like Great Dane. 5 of 5 stars while I am at it. Not an all day smoke, though I have enjoyed several days with three bowls of it.

Erinmore Flake has a juicy fruit taste to me, while it doesnβt taste like fruit, it is pretty good.

I'm pretty open with my tobacco. I can smoke my current favorite being Presbyterian and then go into an aromatic that is over the top like Molto Dolce. So with that said, fruit flavors are a good thing to me. The classic cherry flavor is interesting to see where it goes and how it compares from one blend to another let alone other fruits. The recent talk of grape has my thinking changing from βno wayβ to βI'll try itβ. I now have a pouch coming in. Fruit is just a good area to have around in tobacco, at least for while we can. Itβs a βkid thingβ and thus is big tobacco marketing to children I'm told.
On a personal taste, Apple Flavor by Sutliff starts off tasting of apples but after a few puffs gets into a chemical realm and Devils Holiday has a tin not that is in your face but smokes so different from its smell. It will ghost the hell out of a pipe too.

Two fruit flavored blends I really enjoy are Cult Blood Red Moon and WO Larsen Signature, although the latter had more than just the fruit topping competing for the most obvious topping.

I like Troutstream, not as a steady diet, smoke it when on rare occasion I accompany my wife at Bingo. Late flash, no more smoking at Bingo, gotta go outside, wife says she has to admit itβs nicer inside now.

I can't really taste the fruit in any of the flavored tobaccos I have tried. It either comes across as sweetness or bitterness.

Itβs a blend, depending on your palate you can pick up sweet figs and plum with other fruits as well. I actually put this blend just above SPC Plum Pudding.....NOT the Reserve. Smokingpipes has not had any of the MM blends in stock in over 6 months. However, you can still buy Great Dane directly from MM. Take a pouch for β a ride β, wonβt be your last. I too gave the blend a 5 Star review on Smokingpipes πππππ

I do like the fruity aromatics. I can't taste the fruit, except for blood red moon, but whatever I do taste, I like.
I've never smoked in a room to get a room note, but the moustache note is also good.

As an aromatic fan/fool, this thread has an appeal to me. I will admit/confess, that outside of cherry (Cult BRM), I am not enamored of the fruit flavored blends - peach, orange, etc. But, I picked up a few suggestions to which I will certainly treat myself. That's why I love the place.

Patrick ^^^^^^^^ GEAUX LSUπππππ. Good game!! Ted, I just ordered two pouches of MM Great Dane from P&C. So, assuming that the pouches are not destroyed in the packaging, I assume I should immediately jar them, if I don't plan on doing more than tasting them for a while? The only other pouch I tried was SWR aromatic, and it did not last long enough to be a concern (smoked, not tossed). I do not see pouches as being a long term solution, but I will defer to your experience with them.

Ratrays exotic orange Has a nice bit of orange zest worked in to make it,well more exotic I suppose. And I think it does that while leaving a friendly ghost and nice room note.To be sure, umyou can taste the orange in this one and its a sort of orange tea type of orange thats quite nice.

I have 8 pint jars ready and waiting ππ
