Some of you remember my buddy archy. She was a poster for a short time and only posted intelligent posts when she had something to say. We all thought she was a guy until she posted pics of herself and hubby smoking and admitted she was the girl.
She had to quit school to afford an apartment, was (and still is) dirt poor, though she worked three jobs, so several members sent her pipes and a nice cellar. Soon thereafter, she had a fight with her husband and he, in a despicable act of cowardice, took her pipes out back and smashed them with a hammer.
We replaced her pipes and kept her in free tobacco. While she had very little money, she also would send small CARE packs of tobacco to me, including a very nice estate Savinelli Punto Oro bent bulldog, which is one of my favorite pipes. Here's the latest, and possibly last update.
They moved into a yurt on a friend's property, where they could work off the rent for chores. She works twenty hours a week for some Indian tribe for their income, husband will be in school for a year and a half. She mostly quit drinking beer because it wasn't good for her husband to be around it, and now has stopped smoking because it reminds him of his old cigarettes. I don't know what he does for her.
She hopes when he gets his electrical engineering degree, they will have enough money to buy a small piece of land, be mostly self-sufficient and have a kid. I don't know if she can work smoking back into her life.
Thank you to everyone that sent her pipes and tobacco, but I fear this may be the last update I have - our online friendship was based on pipe smoking, and I'm not going to have a relationship with a married chick if it doesn't have that base. She's currently off on a ten day hike through the Sierra montains; her favorite thing to do.

Valentine even sent her a pipe from Germany, which was cool. I tried to set up a visit with sablebrush (who lived down the street from them at the time), but her damn husband nixed it, saying he didn't want to get raped, killed and raped again. Sable's a good dude and a pretty famous artist; relatively sure that wasn't going to happen.
