My wife and I are thinking about a December train excursion. Does anybody have any favorite places to shop or smoke in Vienna, Salzburg, Zurich, Bern, Lucerne, Milan or Florence?

None I could recommend off the top of my head, but back in the 80’s when I traveled through Europe overland I had no problem finding a good tobacconist. Whatever city I visited there was a great tobacco shop. Enjoy your vacation, if you can rent a car for a few days and travel overland I highly recommend you doing so👍👍👍

Brian Levine just recently became a travel agent and specializes in accommodating the pipe smoker. He knows his way around Europe, and the shops over there.

I’ve never been to Milan but I think there are a couple of world class pipe shops in town and a pipe dealer that I’m friendly with that I would visit.  |

Also, a lot of good scotch expressions are only available in duty free shops...I'm just saying (try Laphroaig The 1815)
