Almost finished smoking Angler's Dream in a mid-70s straight smooth octagonal paneled Jeanet (made by Chacom) billiard with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Suzy and Molly are fed, I ate some raisins for a snack, and sleep is waiting for me to catch up with it.

I’m starting my day with a bowl of McClelland Tudor Castle in a 1968 sandblasted Kaywoode relief meerschaum lined pot. Hot black coffee is my current beverage.

In partial celebration of the birth of my third grandchild last night I'm including a slice of lovely cheesecake to the breakfast, to go with the Panera bagel and Eight O'Clock Colombian Peaks coffee. A bowl of Sutliff Z50 Black Cordial is waiting in a Paul's Cayuga, an oil-cured stack billiard with a saddle stem. [b @irminsul Congratulations

This morning my ritually precise post-breakfast/first bowl of the day is C&D Yale Mixture (decently aged, as C&D must be) in Bruno Nuttens' Bing Cumberland #9. Nuttens finished this old wood pipe decades after it was turned. It goes with the shape, an old fashioned homage to The Groaner.
