I just noticed another one...watching the smoke from your pipe dance in the air. It's like a cloud or a snowflake. You never see the same one twice, but seeing it again is like seeing it for the first time.

Walking up the tunnel and getting the first glimpse of the field and the inside of the stadium at a major league baseball game. There is not a more glorious sight. I still remember the first time when I was a kid and the sense of awe at the lush green grass, the dirt of the infield and the expanse of the outfield. I get the same feeling whenever I go to a ball game to this day.

Wakeing up to this every morning, she's as pretty inside as outside, wondering how in the hell I deserve her. I'm guessin she'll beat hell outta you if she ever sees thisΒ Yup. But beautiful for sure! Lucky fella!

Complete Silence, when all you can hear is nature.
Holding a women in your arms.
Not necessarily in that order.
And both at the same time is a bonus.

The best things in life are the smallest. At least, that is my experience. Hearing a very subtle detail in your favorite music. The few small words of a poem that bring tears to your eyes. Spending time with loved ones. Those are the things that bring me joy most.

To crush your enemies, see them driven... oh, sorry.
The sniff of a dog at a gentle hand. The purr of a happy cat. My pipe sending out a perfect curl of smoke into a ray of sunshine. My sweetie talking Tagalong (which I don't understand) to her sister and family. The zen of a perfect shot. A high-speed sweeper. Tropical breeze through a coconut palm while far away from home. The cushions of my chair at home.

Hunting for rocks and minerals in the high desert country of the West. Pipes, tobacco, good food, drink and time spent with friends and family makes the experience one of my greatest pleasures. Fixing to do it again tomorrow. I will be taking four pipes: The Savinelli 320 Trevi Rustic, a Torben Dansk Brage, a BBB square shanked billiard and the MM Smokin' Phallus. Tobaccos are Robert McConnell's Original Oriental, C&D John Marr and whatever Virginia or Burley I throw in the bag in the morning.

Lately its been watching my 16yo grandson snipping away at apron strings...he's going for the low hanging fruit first, the hard stuff comes later. His mom, my daughter trying reason, guilt and trying to only fight the ones she can win.............better than day time tv. And the wheel of time turns

Waking up on a Saturday morning and not having to work, big snow flakes drifting down on a quiet calm night, watching my son grow into an incredible young man, looking at my tobacco cellar and listening to that first chord strummed on my guitar through my Marshall amp.

Children under the age of 3 or 4 as they discover the things I've taken for granted for ages, when I can see the realization in their eyes, its magic.

All of the above, topped off with an open road, well tuned motorcycle, and nowhere to be for a month.

A good book, with a pipe I restored, next to the fireplace. A sneak attack hug from my wife, then we both get tackled by our littlest for a group hug.
