I was more referring to those who have fallen out of our ether. Ah, I get your meaning now... Legend Lover - I can't recall EVER seeing anything you've ever posted that even came close to offending. You are among the most amiable and encouraging members and mods of our patch. 😃 ☺️

I hope Stanhill and Truculentfrogs are just taking a short break and that Banjo keeps posting. Glad I missed the errant thread.

I hope none of us offended them. Martin, I hate to say it but some people get offended easy. There has been a few posts/threads I stay clear from! Example: the thread that Paddy locked. There was no reason for some of the comments that 2 members made. One has a looooooooooong history of “ stirring the pot “! Just don’t want to see the Patch turn into a “ Peyton Place “ soap opera format. Truculentfrogs is a reasonable guy and not easily offended. I expect he just has something better to do.

What could be better than being here..I am kidding but I am serious too. Been a very long time since I have had the pleasure and enjoyment of being on a forum like the Patch. Quality folks all around...even the ones who err in their thinking...sheit happens and I let it go.

It’s odd that someone would leave the Patch after 3,620 posts unless something is wrong. I’ll go no further.

It happens, life gets in the way, sometimes you just need a break.
In regards to the thread that Paddy locked, and I removed, I will be making a post tomorrow about it. I’ll say this, I’m not impressed with how that thread evolved, and to be honest, VERY shocked and disappointed in a few of the members involved in the pile on. Certainly not what I would have expected from them.
That being said, lets keep this on track. More to come tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled.

Every forum I've been on seems to have a flare up here and there. I'm glad I missed the train wreck, but I've seen enough of'em in the past. Kudos to the Editor and moderators for doing what they need to do. I've been here for several months, and this has been a refreshingly nice place to be. Thanks for that.
It's funny how forums like this evolve over time, with some guys moving on quietly, others arriving new...and then it's really nice to see old faces return as well. Hopefully these gents are doing just fine and simply in a busy season otherwise.

I have forums that I participate in on other hobbies, but there is an ebb and flow, where sometimes you just have to prioritize based on the scarce time you have.
Interests can ebb and wane also.

I'm sure it's nothing, we have had them disappear before and it was that they had something more pressing. He's fine!

I don't know why.

Anyone heard from Stanhill? Jesper has been posting on another forum. Why not here I have no clue. Looks like he’s doing well, thank God.

What does mankind's thoughts and actions communicate about human nature? This topic might be a bit too religious, philosophical etc. in nature. Would it not be wise to pass on this one 😁?

As I signed up to be here, I abide by the forum rules and will comply to what is requested of me by the authorities in charge. I can also see why some folks, including myself, post elsewhere for interesting, meaningful conversations/information that are either prohibited or questionable to post here.
PS Personally I prefer to live in a world with political, philosophical, religious etc opinions discussed freely & hopefully respectfully 😁.

I too get concerned when someone I'm used to seeing on-line or interacting with just drops off the forum with no warning. It sometimes can be because they just get fed up with negativity or insults or else they get sick or worse. I had a good friend on another forum who was very active and then he just stopped participating. A couple of us on the forum with his actual mailing address sent mail to him and it got returned by the post office.
We are still hoping he comes back on but suspect that he is now in pipe smoking heaven.

At least Stanhill is around on other forums (sad to see he's not here) so we know he's 'alive and well'.

I have a list of the forums that I frequent and the passwords and have given it to my wife. I told her that if anything happens to me to go those forums and make a post to let people know that I am gone. I have made some pretty good cyber friends and I would hate to leave them wondering. So... If I just disappear with no word from my wife, I am either taking a break or I moved on.

The wife and I just spent 3 days over there stumbling around antique shops in that part of Bama.

The wife found a big fabric store in Summerdale(?) down near Foley. Spent a lot of money in there for her birthday. Service at O'Charley's sucks but we did enjoy the food at one Mexican Restaurant off the Hwy going toward Daphne.
