What else do you prefer? Why? Perhaps there's no reason to go beyond 1q? I am ready , I so far like the taste of English blends( ps proper English) but don't like the smell does that make since ? I have tried too many sweet aros and they fall flat after about 10 mins . I tried all of the cheap sutlif 3.50 tins at p and c do not like. Lady Margaret gave me some aros to try I am still working through favs. Josh gave me a bunch to try but got turned off very quick from high nic in a few. I go down to Edwards and his stock is dwindling , I need to spend some more times with a few blends I have to really see what I like. In Cigars I'll tell you I smoke Hemmingways all the time not maduro just signature size or work of art or short story, the taste is perfect for me. Davidoff makes an Art Series I love smooth no bite. I have yet to pick up a tin from Davidoff , 10.50 pretty expensive for a tin . I will keep the hunt on. Let me know what you guys think...

The search continues.... Well here is the perfect time to venture out and try a different blend and if you go to here.... sterlingtobaccoco.com/you will find that you can try three 1 oz samples for $7 in the door. I HIGHLY recommend Double Eagle and Golden Eagle... Klompem something is really nice and so is his maple blend but do yourself a favor and try a few samples and at least try one of the "Eagle" blends he has!!

I abhor cigars so can't be of assistance but I'm sure there are others who can.

It’s time to expand your horizons 👍 Butternut Burley is a winner for me as well!!! if you like aromatics some other good ones are Hearth and Home Egg Nog.. Sutliff Pumpkin Spice and Chocolatte Mousse... David can help you out with more of their blends... he has several pounds of their blends.

Burley is the closest in the pipe tobacco world. I'd recommend trying some Burley and Va/Bur blends: Solani Aged Burley Flake Wessex Burley Slices HH Burley Flake and Old Dark Fired Watch City Slices C&D Briar Fox and Old Joe Krantz There's lots of others but that should give you an idea.

Or, Sutliff Aromatic English? Just For Him came out with what looks like a replacement for Shortcut to Mushrooms, which was/is one of my favorites. It's called Bombadil. I haven't tried it yet, but I haven't been disappointed with their blends. They also make Whiskey Biscuit Gravy, which is a mix of "just" Black Cav and Latakia (I swear there's something else in it). All of these are aromatic with other non-aromatic components, and haven't fallen flat for me. They are "English Crossover" blends, and I tend to lean in that direction a lot.

In fact, I JUST tried RLP-6 earlier this week, after having a jar sitting around for about 5 months, and was very pleasantly surprised by it. It smells like a straight aromatic, but when smoked is quite a bit stronger in tobacco flavor. It's like, "OK, you love 1q, but now let's to move up to something a bit more complex." Basically, 1q 2.0.
Apologies, if I'm derailing this post. :-)

Saw one on the back cover of the latest P&C catalog called Red Eye by Hearth & Home. Is that a new one? I don't remember seeing it before.

So 6 or 8 new SPC blends last year, now another one... what do they know about the FDA situation that we don't?

Is there maybe a loophole in the deeming regulations that implies that as long as you get the base ingredients deemed then you can make as many blends using them as you'd like? Maybe they figure that a limited run is better than no run at all?
